Full-Time Legal Assistant/Paralegal Needed.

Duties and responsibilities include:
- Drafting, preparing, and processing legal documents and pleadings.
- Support attorneys and help our clients through the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
- Manage attorneys’ calendars, including scheduling client and professional appointments.
- Coordinate with court staff, government agencies, bank officers, and other attorneys to move client matters forward.
- Maintain and organize client files and matter documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
- You must have excellent grammar and writing skills, and make a professional appearance through your dress and demeanor.
- Other tasks as assigned to assist the office and its clients.
Our perfect candidate is:
- Experienced in legal work — prior paralegal, legal assistant, probate, guardianship, or estate planning experience is strongly preferred.
- Friendly & compassionate- easy for our clients to connect with.
- A team player capable of working for multiple attorneys, assisting other legal assistants when needed, and helping where needed.
- A strong communicator- has excellent grammar and writing skills, and the ability to confidently communicate with clients and professional contacts in person, writing, and on the phone.
- Detail-oriented- organizational skills and attention to detail are very important.
- Professional- understands the importance of work and deadlines.
- Presents in a professional way and limits office distractions. We love social people, but social media needs to be limited to lunchtime and after hours.
- Prior paralegal, legal assistant, probate/guardianship, or estate planning experience preferred, but not required.
- A High School Diploma is required; paralegal certification or relevant legal education is a plus. Training will be provided on firm-specific processes and software.
Salary will be offered according to experience, education, and training.
Health insurance assistance is available after 90 days. Paid time off is available. 401 (k) is available after the first year of employment.
